Fotospauda ant popieriaus

• Teikiamos tik spaudos ir minimalios papildomos paslaugos. Dėl profesionalaus drobės užtraukimo ant porėmio, užklijavimo ant KAPPA putų plokštės (ar kitos medžiagos) arba profesionalaus įrėminimo reikės kreiptis į rėminimo centrą ar galeriją. Jeigu nežinote kur, galėsiu rekomenduoti.
• Fotografijų parodoms atspaustas fotografijas galiu įdėti į taip vadinamus berėmius rėmelius (clip frame). Tai vienas ekonomiškiausių būdų eksponuoti fotografijas, nes nereikia daryti gana brangios užklijavimo operacijos ant putų plokštės ar polistirolo. Tokį rėmėlį dažniausiai sudaro storo kartono pagrindas ir skaidrus arba matinis apsauginis stiklas, tarp kurių įdedama fotografija. Rėmeliai yra daugkartinio panaudojimo, tai yra, fotografijas galima išimti ir pakeisti kitomis. Tokio rėminimo trūkumas – rėmelių dydžiai yra tik tam tikrų matmenų, todėl fotografija taip pat turi būti tokio pat dydžio. Jei sudomino, dėl galimų rėmelių matmenų prašau teirautis elektroniniu paštu.
  
• Skaitmeninė fotospauda užtikrina visišką spalvų kontrolę ir leidžia atspausti tai, kas yra matoma kalibruoto monitoriaus ekrane. Tam, kad būtų išnaudotos technologijos galimybės, rekomenduoju failus spaudai ruošti AdobeRGB, Kodak ProPhoto arba kitoje plačioje RGB spalvų erdvėje. Standartinis sRGB taip pat tinka, bet nepavyks pasiekti to rezultato, kurį gautume iš plačių spalvų erdvių failų.
• Specialus įspėjimas dėl standartinių RC foto popierių! Šie foto popieriai yra to paties tipo ir labai panašūs į tuos, kurie naudojami masinės gamybos foto laboratorijose (taip vadinamuose fotolabuose). Į visus juos gaminant pridedama dideli kiekiai įvairių optinių baliklių, todėl vizualiai jie yra labai balti (tai yra, tokių popierių baltas taškas yra gerokai pasislinkęs į mėlyną pusę, faktiškai jie yra melsvi). Dėl tokio išbalinimo daugumoje atspaudų gaunamas didesnis vizualinis kontrastas, kas sukuria geresnio atspaudo iliuziją. Tačiau dėl melsvo balto taško visos spalvos pasislenka į „šaltumą“, atspaudai gaunami šaltesni nei yra skaitmeniniame faile. Ypatingai tas jaučiasi šviesiuose tonuose, o šviesiai melsvos spalvos gerokai sustiprėja. Todėl jei yra svarbus spalvų tikslumas atspauduose, patartina rinktis Fine Art tipo popierius be optinių baliklių.
  
• Ant visų žemiau pateiktų medžiagų galima spausdinti fotokokybės atspaudus giclée technologija. Žinoma, geriausi rezultatai gaunami ant kokybiško BARYTA klasės fotopopieriaus ir ant taip vadinamo Fine Art popieriaus, skirto meninėms Fine Art fotografijoms, meno kūrinių reprodukcijoms ir rėminimui skirtiems spaudams. Tačiau ir ant kitų medžiagų atspaudai, atspausti specializuotu Fine Art'ui ir fotografijoms spausti skirtu profesionaliu spausdintuvu yra geresni už atspaudus, daromus universalios paskirties spausdintuvais (pavyzdžiui, Canon iPF8300S ar HP Z6200), ir nepalyginamai geresni nei spaudžiant mažiau kainuojančia eko-solventine spauda.
• Darbus rėminimui galima spausti arba ant pusiau blizgaus (semi gloss, semi matt, lustre) ar satininio (satin) fotopopieriaus, arba ant Fine Art klasės popieriaus (pastarasis gali būti klasikinis matinis arba blizgus). BARYTA Fine Art fotopopierių paviršius ir pati išvaizda visiškai panašūs į seniau klasikine technologija gamintų fotopopierių paviršių, antroji tokio popieriaus pusė (kaip ir Fine Art popierių), skirtingai nuo „plastmasinių“ paprastų fotopopierių, yra natūralus popierius. Dėl gaunamo atspauduose ypatingai žemo juodo taško lygio (Lmin siekia iki 2,5) BARYTA popieriai idealiai tinka juodai baltų fotografijų spaudai.
  
• Jei fotospaudas skirtas paprastam ekonominiam rėminimui, galima rinktis plonesnį bei pigesnį 170–200 g fotopopierių, tačiau būtina įvertinti tai, kad gali tekti fotografiją klijuoti ant pagrindo. Užklijavimas ant pagrindo rėminimo centre – gana brangi operacija, todėl patartina sužinoti būsimą įrėminimo kainą iš anksto. Spausdinimui parinkus brangesnį storą 250–300 g svorio popierių atspaudo nebūtina klijuoti ant pagrindo: net gana didelio formato atspaudai ant tokio popieriaus, įrėminti po stiklu, neišlinksta. Kartu reikia įvertinti tai, kad bet koks užklijavimas ant pagrindo mažina atspaudo (ar pačio originalo) vertę (po tokio užklijavimo atspaudo jau neįmanoma atskirti nuo pagrindo), todėl visada patartina klijavimo vengti.
  
• 170–200 g fotopopieriai idealiai tinka ekonominiam rėminimui parodoms, kada atspaudas dedamas tarp dvieju pasport'ų be jokio rėmo ir visa tai vakuminiu būdu aptraukiama laminatu.
  
• Jei fotografija skirta albumui, geriau rinktis storesnį fotopopierių (sunkesnį nei 200 g). Kitai produkcijai (pavyzdžiui, diplomams, atvirutėms, fotoįdėklams į CD/DVD dėžes ir pan.) fotopopieriaus storis gali būti įvairus.
• Fine Art klasės popieriai lieka nepakitę (nepageltę, neparudavę, nesubyrėję ir pan.) labai ilgai (net iki kelių amžių). Fotopopieriai dėl naudojamų jų gamyboje baliklių ir rūgštinių medžiagų laikui bėgant kis (gelsvės, bluks, ruduos ir pan.). Tai vyksta su visais fotopopieriais – ir skirtais spausdinti rašalu, ir naudojamais fotocentruose įprastų fotografijų gamybai. Tačiau paprastai kokybiški Fine Art popieriai yra brangesni už fotopopierius. Tad renkantis ant ko spausdinti, geriausia įvertinti būsimą liekamąją atspaudo vertę – jei tai spaudas, kuris bus reikalingas artimiausius kelis metus, galima spausti ant fotopopieriaus, jei ilgam – reikia rinktis Fine Art klasės popierių.
• Drobės taip pat būna kelių tipų – standartinės ir archyvinės kokybės. Normalūs drobių gamintojai paprastai tai nurodo gaminamų drobių specifikacijose. Drobės solventinei spaudai neatitinka archyvinės kokybės reikalavimų.
  
• Fotografijų, atspaustų ant kokybiško fotopopieriaus, spalvinė erdvė yra daug didesnė nei jas gaminant tradicine fotografijų gamybos technologija fotocentruose. Fotografijų dydžiai praktiškai neribojami (iki 3 m ilgio).
  
• Spaudžiant ant drobės būtina įvertinti tai, kad užtempimui ant porėmio reikia palikti apie 5 cm drobės iš visų vaizdo pusių. Pavyzdžiui, jei paveikslas yra 50×50 cm, drobė turi būti bent jau 60×60 cm. Lietuvoje užtraukimui dažniausiai naudojami pigūs ekonominės klasės 2 cm storio porėmiai, todėl kartais pakanka ir 4 cm užlaidų. Tačiau tokią drobę neužtrauksite ant profesionalių 36 ir 48 mm storio porėmių galeriniu tempimu.
  
• Atspaudą ant drobės būtina dengti apsauginiu laku, jei drobė bus rėminama gallery-wrap arba museum-wrap būdais. To nepadarius yra didelė tikimybė, kad pigmento sluoksnis bus pažeistas rėminant vėliau. Be to, toks padengimas Hahnemühle Protective Spray purškiamu laku apsaugo atspaudą ant drobės nuo drėgmės, pirštų atspaudų ir ultravioletinių spindulių poveikio, todėl dvigubai padidėja pigmento blukimo atsparumas (testų duomenimis atspaustas ant drobės vaizdas ir padengtas apsauginiu laku turėtų likti nepakitęs iki 100 metų). • Skaitmeninio spausdinimo rašalais technologija turi vieną ypatumą: atspaudas turi gerai išdžiūti kol visiškai stabilizuosis jo spalvos. Minimalus džiūvimo laikotarpis iki rėminimo yra bent 4 val., rekomenduotinas – bent jau 12 val. Galutinai atspaudas išdžiūna per 24 val., tačiau spalvos dar šiek tiek pakinta ir vėliau (tiesa, šiuos pokyčius galima išmatuoti tik tikslia spalvų matavimo technika, plika akimi tas nesimato). Tai būtina įvertinti iš anksto, jei atspaudo reikia konkrečiam laikui. Retais atvejais pigmento nešiklis iš popieriaus gali garuoti net 7–10 dienų ir kartais galimi atvejai, kai įrėminus ne visiškai išdžiūvusį atspaudą ant stiklo rėme pasirodo nedidelis drėgmės kondensatas.
• Visos žemiau išvardintos medžiagos yra sandėlyje, tačiau turimi rulonai yra  įvairaus pločio. Gali būti, kad kai kuriems užsakymams teks atvežti didesnio formato ruloną, todėl gali tekti laukti mėnesį ir daugiau, kol tiekėjai pristatys medžiagas. Iki A2 formato problemų neturėtų kilti, dėl A0 spaudos ant tam tikrų Fine Art popierių reikėtų derinti labai iš anksto. Išimtis – drobė, kurios dažniausiai turiu visų formatų.
  
• Siūlomą Canon, Epson, FujiFilm, Harman, Harman by Hahnemühle, Hahnemühle, Ilford, Intelicoat, Museo ir Kodak medią galima pamatyti medžiagų pavyzdžių paletėse (o taip pat ir atspausdintus pavyzdžius ant visų turimų medžiagų) čia ofise. Profesionalūs dailininkai ir fotografai kartu su pirmu užsakymu gali nemokamai gauti pavyzdžius medžiagų, turimų tuo metu sandėlyje.

Šiai medios kategorijai priklauso drobės (canvas), įvairus meninis (Fine Art paper), BARYTA ir kitoks specialus popierius giclée fotospaudai. Išskirtiniai popierių požymiai – natūralūs, be lignino, rūgštinių medžiagų, ypatingai kokybiški ir brangūs. Kai kurie gaminami su nedideliais kiekiais optinių baliklių. Tokie popieriai (ir dalinai – drobės, priklauso nuo drobės rūšies) yra archyvinės kokybės, tai yra, pats popierius ir atspaudai ant jo išlieka nepakitę labai ilgai (iki 100 ir daugiau metų). Visiems mums žinomos fotografijos dabar dažniausiai spausdinamos ant jau tapusio įprastu RC (resine coated) foto popieriaus.
